Planning and publication are separate actions
A saved time is a content plan. Approval applies to one exact revision and does not publish it. Editing clears approval. Queueing or publishing requires a verified account, activated delivery and a separate instruction. If an external publish request has an uncertain result, automatic resubmission is blocked so the same content is not sent twice.
The Instagram pilot supports one dedicated professional account connected through its Facebook Page. Public media URLs are required because uploaded library files are private. Final media acceptance and account permissions are controlled by Instagram.

Sign-in uses ChatGPT. The app stores your account identifier, brand details, drafts, revisions, notes, media, link-page content and manually entered metrics. Records and files are scoped to the signed-in user. The website is public; workspace records require sign-in. The owner console is restricted to the verified owner and shows operational records described in the privacy policy.
Files are stored privately and are served only after an ownership check. Deleting a post removes its stored versions, notes and metrics; an activity entry remains. A file must be removed from its posts before deletion. The Support & data section offers workspace export and deletion. Connected ChatGPT tools can read your stored content to fulfil your requests. If Instagram publishing is activated, the approved caption and public media URLs are sent to Meta. The pilot does not send direct messages, run ads, collect link-page visitor analytics or take payments.
Pilot limits
Up to 10 brands, 500 post records, 200 saved content items and 200 media files per workspace. Media storage is capped at 200 MB, with a 25 MB limit per file. CSV imports accept up to 50 drafts and 256 KB at a time. This is a free planning beta; there is no paid service guarantee or promise of automatic social reach.
What informed the build
The feature review used Metricool’s official documentation for planning and publishing, plan capabilities and MCP limits. Social Desk is independently implemented and is not affiliated with Metricool. No Metricool account, content or brand assets are used as its backend.
